Steve Cains
DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Steve Cains is our Director of Development, leading the Development team on identifying and developing renewable energy and storage projects for public sector clients. Steve is passionate about the environmental benefits and revenue streams which can be generated by public sector driven energy projects and is keen to share the message!
Steve has 20 years' experience in the public sector and holds BA (Hons) and BTP in Town and Country Planning (sustainability) from the University of the West of England.
Chris Tucker
HEAD OF DEVELOPMENT
Chris Tucker is Head of Development who works in the Development team to develop and deliver our generation projects. Chris brings a detailed knowledge of renewable energy technology and the complexities of connections to the UK electricity grid, having previously delivered solar PV and wind projects for the private sector, as well as working for a Distribution Network Operator.
Chris has a degree in Electronics, with honours, from Oxford Brookes University and is also a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Phil Gordon
SENIOR PLANNER
Phil Gordon is our Senior Planner working in the Development team providing planning consulting services for our renewable energy projects. He has experience providing a variety of planning services for developers across the UK. Phil also brings a detailed knowledge of development management and local planning policy within the public sector, having held several planning officer roles in local planning authorities around the UK including Senior Planning Policy Officer for a London borough.
Phil holds a MSci (Hons) 1st in Planning, Regeneration and Property Development, from Ulster University and is a Chartered Town Planner (MRTPI).
Joan Chen
PROJECT MANAGER
Joan Chen is Project Manager who works within the Development team and is responsible for the development of solar PV and battery storage projects. She has a wide range of experience in project development, delivery and asset management of ground-mounted and domestic rooftop solar PV in the UK, the US, and the Middle East.
Pete Douglass
PROJECT ENGINEER
Pete is responsible for new development site selection, bringing in Geographical Information System (GIS) expertise to analyse and manipulate data from a variety of sources to identify the best sites for renewable technologies. He also manages grid applications for new projects to facilitate the end-to-end process of development projects.
Pete has a BSc Geography Hons Degree specialising in GIS from the University of Southampton and is constantly looking for new ways to adapt and improve the company’s internal GIS, while also integrating the design process with the mapping software. Pete has a keen interest in GIS and working collaboratively with other renewable energy companies to facilitate development projects and expand knowledge.
Michelle Cottrell
MARKETING OFFICER
Michelle Cottrell is our Marketing Officer. She manages marketing activities such as running our social media accounts and keeping them and our website up to date. She also works alongside our Development team assisting with landowner and local council engagement for potential projects. Michelle comes from a sales background with nearly 20 years customer service and sales experience.
Michelle holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Business Management from The Open University and a Professional Certificate in Digital Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Alistair Birch
FINANCE DIRECTOR
Alistair Birch is our Finance Director. He has experience of working across a variety of senior and board roles in energy, construction, and banking with an established track record in operational finance and capital raising. Alistair is a qualified accountant and Associate of the Institute of Risk Management.
