PPS recognised at National Awards for innovation in procurement!

A team from PPS was proud to attend the UK National Public Procurement Awards last month as finalists for the ‘Innovation of the Year Award’ for their ‘New Energy Dynamic Framework’.

PPS developed the UKs first OJEU-compliant Dynamic Purchasing System in 2015 to allow the public sector to procure the services needed to develop a solar project. This expired in March 2019 and a new system was developed to cover a broader range of renewable technologies: ‘The New Energy Dynamic Framework’ (NEDF).

Unlike other frameworks, the NEDF is specifically designed for renewable energy projects and PPS can provide expertise and experience in preparing the specification, ITT, scoring and managing the tender.PPS also works with the supply chain to ensure the NEDF has quality suppliers registered to respond to tenders.

The awards were held on 30 April at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham.‘Entering the GO Awards was a great opportunity to showcase our hard work and to be shortlisted as a finalist was a great achievement for the team,’ said Gary Lee, Procurement Manager
